Korey Bowie....singer, songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, teacher, speaker, favored.
These are just a few titles bestowed on music's newcomer Korey Bowie. A blend of Soul; Rhythm & Blues; and Contemporary Christian music, Korey's musical style and true love for the word of God has landed him into a new genre, fittingly entitled,
Rhythm and Blessings --R&B....For Your Soul.
Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of musical, faith filled parents Korey JaMalle Bowie began tapping into his interest in writing and production at the tender age of 13.
A sought after writer and producer Korey is currently the Music Supervisor for Bright Idea Entertainment's new Saturday Morning sitcom; "My Parents, My Sister & Me' - featuring Debbie Allen and Robin Givens. A worshipper at heart Korey was previously Youth Praise & Worship Leader at New Mercies Christian Church in Lilburn Ga. and; Leader at Life Church, Atlanta. He is currently the Worship & Arts Leader at Fresh Start Church in Duluth Georgia.
In 2006 Korey wrote and produced the dynamic praise& worship album "OUTPOURING" for his sister in Christ, Leah Lee. He also penned the song "I Do Worship" featured on CeCe Winans Presents: "PURE WORSHIP" on EMI Gospel/2007. Upcoming projects for Korey include writing and producing a song for Gospel Recording Artist, Darwin Hobbs' 2010 album on Tyscott records and, Korey recently completed production on a track for Coco Brother's upcoming release featuring Joann Rosario and Tye Tribbett also on Tyscott.
In the fall of 2008 Korey launched Invested Music Group and will release his self penned and produced debut LP, Life and Love, Vol. 1: Songs of the Heart, nationally in 2010.
Life and Love, Vol.1: Songs of the Heart, features sixteen original tracks by Bowie all showcasing his incredible vocal and production talent and introducing him as a writer whose songs will leave an imprint for years to come.
Standout tracks on Vol.1 include; "I Made It", an early Gospel Radio favorite, earning Korey early praise at radio with wins three nights in a row on Atlanta's Praise 102.5 The Coco Brother Radio show Battle. Other great tracks include the urban radio favorites; "Right Now" and "So Hard", showcasing Korey's R&B flair; "Is For You" a strong hip-hop influenced track with beats that hit hard enough for the club and lyrics that reveal Korey's true heart for worship.
This is truly the beginning for Korey Bowie, with all that God has invested in him the best is yet to come.
